Within an eleven acre enclave of beautifully maintained gardens in the heart of central London, set amongst the tranquil surroundings of ‘old legal London’ architecture, Lincoln’s Inn provides a beautiful backdrop to your special day. The venues available within our grounds provide a number of options to suit your wedding ceremony and reception, whether you are hosting a large celebration in the Great Hall or intimate gathering in the Old Hall or Members’ Common Room.
From the point of your initial enquiry through to delivery, our experienced Events team will be on hand to make your special day unforgettable. We can accommodate 70 to 200 guests for a dinner dance or 50 to 400 guests for a standing reception.

Opened in 1845 by Queen Victoria, the Great Hall provides the perfect setting for your wedding on a grand scale with its magnificent elevated ceiling, stunning stained glass windows and vast fresco by the renowned G.F. Watts.
Welcome your guests in the distinguished Bench Rooms adjoining the Hall, or in fine weather the East Terrace – overlooking the manicured lawns of the Inn – can be used for your arrival reception. The imposing wooden doors are then opened to reveal the stunning Hall within where, amidst rapturous applause, your guests welcome the newly married couple to dine.
After your wedding breakfast, the wedding party can dance the night away under the stunning ceiling of one of the finest buildings in London.

The Old Hall, considered one of the finest Tudor buildings in London, provides an intimate setting for your guests to dine. Amongst its many notable features are the wooden screen designed by Inigo Jones and Hogarth’s painting of “Paul Before Felix”.
Your guests are welcomed into the Crypt underneath the Hall, which was traditionally used for the storage of fuel, food and wine, but now the stone vaulted ceiling has been restored to its former glory to provide an atmospheric setting for pre-dinner drinks.

For a more intimate wedding celebration, the Members’ Common Room (MCR) with its south facing terrace overlooking the beautiful landscaped gardens and fountains of New Square is perfect for a post-ceremony reception or afternoon tea style celebration.
